Logan and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary this past week! Since it's become somewhat of a tradition now, I ordered a miniature version of our wedding cake from our wedding baker again. The past 2 years I got Logan's groom's cake flavor (apple butter cake with apple butter filling and milk chocolate icing - yum!) but this year I decided to switch it up and order my flavor. It was chocolate kahlua cake with chocolate mousse filling and white chocolate icing. When I ordered it, I wasn't even thinking about the fact that I'm pregnant and consuming a kahlua cake might be frowned upon. When I picked up the cake, I asked her if the alcohol bakes out. She said that some of it might, but that she uses an entire cup of kahlua in this small cake! I had to exercise extreme will power to only eat one tiny piece. :) Anyway, Logan and I also had our tradition of steak dinner at Capital Grill, which was amazing as always. Even though I'm not eating much meat with this pregnancy, I still enjoyed my steak!
Logan didn't think I was ordering the mini wedding cake again this year, so he surprised me with cupcakes and cake balls! We had a sugar feast. :)
Happy Anniversary, Hubs!
