Besides the usual "Are you a doctor, or just a nurse?", I heard another little gem at work the other day. I think this one is worse.
I was sitting at the nurses station giving report to the oncoming nurse when one of the parents came out of their room and said "So which one of you is going to be the new babysitter?"
How do you respond to that? When her nurse said "Well, I'm not the babysitter, but I'll be her nurse tonight" the mother actually said "Oh, it's basically the same thing".
Talk about a slap in the face.
