Alex, the talking parrot

Logan and I were talking last night about how his Aunt Rita has an African Grey Parrot, which are supposedly some of the smartest animals in the world.  He was telling me stories about how her Parrot could sound exactly like her husband – so much so that when she’d call out “Pete, where are you?” and she’d hear “Yeah, in here!” she’d walk around until she found the parrot saying that in the kitchen! 

So all parrots can talk, but apparently African Greys have the intelligence of a toddler, and they can live up to 70 years.  I became fascinated by this, so I started looking up videos.  Here’s one of Alex, answering questions for his trainer.
