Happy Birthday Mom!

1. Mom's 55 birthday

My mom recently celebrated her birthday – yes, she’s still 30!  ;)  We all met up for lunch at The Cotton Patch in McKinney with Ross and Jessica, Mamaw and Papaw, and Ken and Nancy.  Then we all headed back to my parents house to visit for the rest of the day.  There was plenty of football watching since the playoffs were on, lots of chatting, and some “dancing” with Ross’ new x-box dance competition game.  There may or may not be a video… and if there is, I can assure you it will never be made public!  :)

Happy Birthday, Mom!  We love you!

Whip My Hair…

…is possibly the worst “song” I’ve ever heard in my life.  And now I’m annoyed because it’s stuck in my head.  I knew I shouldn’t have listened to it, but I keep hearing people refer to it, and I was curious.  I only made it through 1 minute and 40 seconds… and that’s 1 minute and 40 seconds of my life I’ll never have back.  The only redeeming quality (and it’s minimal) was that I did find it interesting how much Willow Smith looks like her brother Jaden from his Pursuit of Happyness days.

I used to wonder if celebrity children were given special treatment when trying to become the next big thing.  Absolutely no question about it anymore.  There is no way this song would ever have been recorded if Will Smith wasn’t her daddy.

That is all.

Dinner with my favorite little lady…

1. Lorin and Taite
Oh yeah, and her parents and Logan were there too.  :)  I LOVE spending time with sweet Taite, who is honestly the smartest toddler I’ve ever met.  And I especially love hearing her call me “La La”.  This kid is amazing.

Happy 29+1, Leanne!

1. Happy Birthday Leanne Mike and Leanne spent Christmas and her Birthday in Cabo this year, so on New Year’s Day we took them to dinner at Capitol Grill to celebrate.  This may be my favorite picture of Leanne ever.   Love you, Leanne!
